Apple and Google are making notable moves in the digital asset space by recruiting positions that require knowledge and experience related to stablecoins, tokenized deposits, blockchain, and Web3 infrastructure.
According to Bloomingbit, Apple is currently hiring for the position of Financial Product Strategy Lead for Apple Pay in the US. Candidates for this position are required to have knowledge of stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and blockchain technology.
In parallel with Apple, Google is also seeking personnel for the position of Industry Principal Architect in charge of Web3 in Hong Kong. This position requires experience in various areas related to digital assets, including real-world asset tokenization (RWA), stablecoin payment networks, tokenized deposits, and digital asset custody services.
The fact that both Apple and Google are recruiting for positions requiring expertise in stablecoins and blockchain indicates that these two major tech corporations are delving deeper into how digital asset infrastructure can be applied to payment operations and financial services.
For Apple, stablecoins and tokenized deposits could become technologies researched within the scope of Apple Pay’s development strategy and related financial products. Meanwhile, Google’s recruitment requirements show that the company is interested in multiple layers of Web3 infrastructure, from real asset tokenization, stablecoin payment networks to digital asset custody operations.
However, these recruitment details are not yet evidence that Apple or Google is preparing to issue their own stablecoin. There is also no confirmed information that either company will soon launch a specific stablecoin service for users.
