caex

On May 7, the cryptocurrency exchange CAEX officially appointed Mr. Chris Chiew, a former senior leader of Binance, to the position of senior strategic advisor.

According to the published information, Chris Chiew possesses nearly 20 years of experience in the international financial sector, having held many important roles at leading financial institutions and exchanges worldwide. CAEX’s recruitment of such an experienced individual is considered a strategic move to strengthen its governance system, enhance operational standards, and expand its global scale as the crypto market enters a new growth cycle.

Before joining CAEX, Chris Chiew held the position of Global Director in charge of direct trading and custody services at Binance — the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume. During his time at Binance, he managed various activities related to institutional liquidity, digital asset custody, and optimized trading systems for large-scale clients. These are considered extremely important areas for modern crypto exchanges, especially as institutional capital flows strongly into the Bitcoin and digital asset market following the approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US.

Not only experienced in the blockchain industry, Chris Chiew also worked for over 12 years at Goldman Sachs — one of Wall Street’s most powerful financial conglomerates. During this period, he focused on operational management, risk control, and building financial systems in major economic centers such as Singapore, Tokyo, and Beijing. This solid traditional financial foundation is believed to help CAEX improve its internal governance capabilities and meet increasingly stringent regulatory requirements from global regulatory agencies.
